Pastor Luis Beltré is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience serving in various ministry roles within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Throughout his career, he has served as a Pastor, Academy Chaplain, Bible Teacher, Evangelist, Missionary, Bible Worker, and Author. Through his dedication to ministry and commitment to the gospel work Pr. Luis has made a difference in the lives of countless students, church members, and communities around the world.
Education and Qualifications
Pastor Luis holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Theology with an emphasis in Youth Ministry from Andrews University (AU), showcasing his passion for nurturing and guiding the next generation of believers. Upon accepting the call to serve as an academy chaplain and Bible teacher, Pr. Luis obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching degree with an emphasis in secondary education and endorsement in Religion from AU. More recently, Pr. Luis became an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and has completed a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from AU as well.
Ministry and Leadership Experience
Throughout his career, Pastor Beltré has had the privilege of serving as pastor in many different congregations, each presenting unique opportunities for leadership growth and ministry development. His diverse experiences have equipped him with a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and triumphs of pastoral ministry, church administration, church systems growth, discipleship, leadership, chaplaincy, marriage counseling, teaching, conflict resolution, and youth mentorship. This wealth of experience has given him the necessary tools to serve and work with people from all walks of life.
Authorship and Contributions
Pastor Beltré is the author of a book titled Finding Hope in an Age of Despair. In this work, he presents a Christ-centered solution to the postmodern rejection of absolute truth, offering a fresh perspective on the relevancy of Christianity in the 21st century. His insightful analysis of the ideas that have shaped postmodern culture and the spiritual and relational solutions he proposes have sparked meaningful conversations within the church community, opening up new possibilities for engagement and growth.
Innovative Ministry Initiatives
Pastor Beltré has been developing a new hospitality program called the R.O.C.K. Plan. This is a hospitality ministry strategy tailored to building relationships with first-time visitors to the church. Built on the premise that our society has transitioned from a fact-based culture to a relationship culture, the ROCK initiative has created a new and creative opportunity to connect in a more intentional way with church visitors. By creating a welcoming and relationship nurturing experience for guests, the revolving door of guests who never come back can finally come to a holt.
Pr. Luis has been instrumental in developing community needs based ministries such as a Single Mom's ministry. This ministry now includes support groups for single mothers, survivors of domestic violence, and tutoring programs for children. Through his relational leadership and heart for people, Pr. Luis has cultivated a safe and supportive space for individuals facing unique challenges, offering practical assistance, spiritual, and emotional guidance.
